GMS Directory

Introduction

The Grants Management System (GMS) Vendor Directory is a companion resource to PEAK Grantmaking’s Data Next-Level Practices (NLPs). These recommendations are designed to advance equitable, efficient, and interoperable data practices across the philanthropic sector.

This directory highlights how leading GMS and product vendors are implementing those practices. It helps funders, nonprofits, and partners understand how each system supports data sharing, data reuse, and alignment with modern, common taxonomies.

Each Profile Showcases:

A brief description of the vendor and its core products and services.

Details on whether and how the platform integrates with third-party data sources (e.g., Candid, IRS, Impact Genome, GeoNames) to reduce redundant data entry.

Information on partnerships and data-sharing relationships with key infrastructure organizations.
Examples of how vendors help funders and nonprofits learn about and apply data-sharing and reuse practices.

The degree to which platforms adopt and crosswalk modern, common taxonomies such as the Candid Philanthropy Classification System, SDGs, and others.

Features like dashboards, performance metrics, and applicant feedback mechanisms that help track and minimize nonprofit workload.
Publicly available data governance policies, update cycles, and opportunities for stakeholder feedback.

Together, these insights create a sector-wide view of how grantmaking technology is evolving toward smarter, more connected, and more equitable data ecosystems.

By using this directory, funders and partners can:

  • Identify systems already aligned with PEAK’s Data NLPs.
  • Compare vendors based on their current and planned data-sharing features.
  • Encourage adoption of sector standards that reduce duplication and enhance interoperability.
  • Make informed decisions that align technology investments with values of transparency, equity, and efficiency.

Editorial Notes

About the Directories
The NLPs are aspirational and forward-looking, designed to move the sector beyond current practice. Not all vendors or providers have adopted them yet, that’s expected. We encourage you to engage your chosen partners around the NLPs.

Join the Directories
We welcome and encourage new participants. Together, our community of GMS vendors and data providers are working to make philanthropy’s data more connected, equitable, and reusable. To get started, visit Join the Directories.
